Monday Must-Have Lust List

1) SUPER FUN BACKPACK

After my last vacation, I realized I really need a backpack for when I’m traveling.  It’d be nice when I’m at the airport and on the go to just throw my bag over my shoulders and be hands fee.  I was using this big messenger bag and it was so heavy and annoying to drag around!  So on the hunt I go!  I found a few really cool options like a Vince Camuto Convertable Backpack and a gorgeous B Brain Atwood.  But I think the winner is this Patent Croc Topshop one!  It’s a good size that I can pack some essentials (and some non-essentials… hehehe) but not too huge so it’ll work for every day too.  Sold!

2) BENEFIT COSMETICS ADVENT CALENDAR

Holy smokes this is the most amazing idea ever!  Not only do I love Christmas and traditional treat-filled advent calendars but fill that calendar with fun Benefit products?!  Gasp!!  You get a new product every… single… day from December 1st until Christmas.  WHAT?!  It’s a dream come true!  Basically, this is the best gift ever for any beauty-holic in your life.  No doubt these will sell out fast so pick up yours today!

3) IT BY ALEXA CHUNG

Ok fashionistas, how much do we love Alexa Chung?  I mean, her style is so fabulous it boarders on a level of insanity!  The good insanity that makes us all say “Damn, that’s freakin’ awesome!”  So when I heard she was penning her first book, I pre-ordered immediately.  It came out on October 29th and Amazon promptly delivered it that day!  I’m looking forward to sitting down to read this “It Girl’s” book sooner rather than later!  If you’ve had a chance to read it already, what did you think?

4) SOCIAL MEDIA OVER HALLOWEEN

I forget every year how amazing and sometimes totally hysterical it is to see everyone’s Halloween shenanigans on social media.  You guys have gone crazy with all your awesome costumes!  Celebrities seemed to be extra creative this year too!  What did you go as?  What celebrity do you think had the best costume this year?

5) WILDFOX PAJAMAS

I’m a fan of Wildfox’s fun whimsical designs (see here and here) so I love that they’ve expanded into PJs!  Their cheeky designs and saying always make me smile and laugh.  These are a few of my favs from the new collection.

1) BREAST CANCER AWARENESS PRODUCTS

I love products with a cause.  And I particularly like to support the Breast Cancer Awareness cause.  Many of you probably already know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month so there are tons of ways that we can show our support.  And what’s great is we can do so without having to donate tons of cash or attend swanky events (if you have the means, I want to see pictures of the event!).  We can help just a little by purchasing some of the products that in turn will donate a portion of their proceeds to charity.  Here are a few of my favorite products:

10% of proceed will benefit Hoag Memorial Hospital in Newport Beach, CA

10% of proceeds will benefit the Beast Cancer Foundation Center

2) PUMPKIN PATCHES

I love this time of year.  And one thing that really gets me in the spirit is heading to a pumpkin patch.  I love to wander around and find the perfect pumpkins for carving.  I’m no master carver but there’s nothing more fun to me than the traditional lopsided pumpkin smile.  Stay tuned on my social media accounts if you’d like to see the final product!

3) HALLOWEEN PARTIES

It seems like most Halloween parties are happening this weekend and it’s one of my favorite parties of the year.  It might be tied with Christmas and New Year parties…  I can’t decide.  Seeing everyone’s costumes is always a blast and I usually have mine planned out for the follow year by November 1st.  I’m really excited about my costume but it’s a secret for now!  You’ll just have to wait!  Oh, the suspense!  What are you going to be?

4) PUMPKIN SPICE EVERYTHING

You want to know how I know it’s fall?  It’s not boots, not sweaters, not the changing colors of the leaves.  It’s pumpkin spice everything emerging!  I mean, seriously!  You can get candles, creamer, coffee, beer, soap, etc in pumpkin spice flavors.  And of course pumpkin pie starts popping up on menus all over.  I personally love it.  I tend to over do it and will be over it by December but I can’t help it!  It’s like my cat nip!

5) FASHION 2.0: SEASON OF CHANGE BY YULI ZIV

Yuli Ziv’s next book in her Fashion 2.0 series will be a controversial hit discussed widely among those in the industry.  It forecasts how the changing world of technology will disrupt the fashion industry.  Without a doubt, technology will change all of us but this book sounds interesting and scary specific to fashion.  My copy is on its way and I’m looking forward to doing a book review on it soon!
