Coronado Beach Day Look

DSCN0245Sometimes a day of relaxing on the beach with the girls is the best R & R you could ask for.  I got a really annoying sunburn a month or so ago and now I’m hyper about making sure I’m protected from the sun.  I want my super pale skin looking as young as possible for as long as possible!  Other than caking on tubes of sunscreen, I wore a UPF 50+ hat and a long maxi dress topped with a luxuriously soft white Equipment blouse.  Take that, Sunshine!

That Old Trusty Bag

DSC06172

Now I’m going to tell you guys a little secret that might shock you fashionistas to the core.  I’m not a bag person.  There I said it!  I feel so much better.  Once you’ve recovered from the shock I’ll explain… go on… I’ll wait…

I love all aspects of fashion but, for some reason, bags never really were my thing.  If you want to talk about shoes, that’s a totally different story.  I mean, this blog is called Wandering in Heels after all.  Not Wandering with Louis.  I can see the appeal of carrying something beautiful with leather soft as butter but my bags get pretty used and abused!  Even my shoes seem to stay in better condition!

So I tend to have bags that stick with me for a long time.  The one shown here I’ve had for probably 10 years.  Currently, my two favorites are this beat up old Frye bag and a beat up old Coach cross body bag I found at the Goodwill.  They’re trusty, well constructed, and a few bumps and scratches give it character.  They just keep getting better with age.  Just like me!  I hope…
