LookBook: Polka Dot Romper

chels13The real reason I love a fun romper is because it’s the best lazy day piece that still looks great on.  One and done.  I just accessorized with simple gold jewelry and nude gladiator heels.  I love this Eddie Borgo gold choker too.  It’s a little dramatic but not a huge “look at me” statement piece.  The romper is full of polka dots!  That’s loud enough as it is.  This outfit is going to be my spring go-to for sure.

Fashion Week San Diego: Day 3

FWSD

San Diego Fashion week continues with another fashion show for emerging designers to win the votes of the viewers.  The audience got to see some amazing work tonight.  There was everything from edgy swimwear, to bright floral swimwear, to amazing hats!

The Rancho Coastal Humane Society also did a doggy fashion show!  If you ever wondered what a warehouse of collective swooning sounded like, you would have heard it during when the first pooch entered the runway.  These cuties will have no problem finding homes!  I got a great seat tonight (and my camera decided to start functioning again) so I was able to get some fun shots of the show.  Here are some of my favorites!

My Birthday Suit

Birthday Jumpsuit

Not that birthday suit!  My jumpsuit!  For my birthday dinner, I got spoiled with a beautiful sunset at Bertrand at Mr. A’s in San Diego.  We sipped delicious wine on the patio while watching the city lights flicker on and the planes fly in right at our eye level.  It’s one of my favorite places in San Diego for a view of the harbor, downtown, and the sunset.  The happy hour patio menu is really reasonably priced too!  My mom and I came here once and shared ahi sliders, truffle fries, and 3 glasses of wine for only $36!  Anyways, back to my birthday jumpsuit…

I really love a good menswear inspired look.  So I went to with a Ted Baker jumpsuit with shorts and a faux wrap front.  Every outfit needs the perfect pair of shoes so these gorgeous cutout oxford heels from the Sole Society Julianne Hough Collection were the best bet.  They’re so unique and surprisingly comfortable.  I’ll be wearing these straight through the holidays with dresses, trousers, and more!  Not to mention, my complement-o-meter was going through the roof on these gorgeous heels!  Doesn’t every girl love that?  Top off your menswear looks with an ultra feminine piece of jewelry and you’re good to go!  All in all, it was a gorgeous evening and a wonderful addition to my already great birthday.
