To say I’m in love with Marc Broussard would be a gross understatement. I’ve been attending his Southern California concerts religiously since I saw him open for Gavin DeGraw back in the day. His Louisiana swagger and rusty voice makes me weak in the knees! I was so happy to hear some of his oldie-but-goodies for a little trip down memory lane. The location at the Birch Aquarium was outstanding! Simply the most beautiful location that I’ve ever attended a concert. Just the view alone makes me want to go to the rest of the Green Flash Concert Series.

Salon on 30th Hair Show
Remember that super fun event I posted about forever ago? It was so awesome! I got to be a hair model for my stylist Beth Chambers at Salon on 30th. She went with a kind of 60’s retro vibe so I wore my fun Kate Spade New York flowy shift dress to match the feel of my new ‘do. I can never get my hair to curl quite like this on my own but it was perfect for a girl’s night out!

Behind the Scenes: Spring Designer Preview
One of my many hats is to work behind the scenes ever so often at Nordstrom fashion shows in San Diego. It’s so much fun to touch all these amazing swoon-worthy designer clothes that are outside my budget. Not to mention, the models make everything look like perfection! Frankly, it’s not fair. Being behind the scenes can be a lot of work but it’s a lot of fun too. Here are shots of some of my favorite looks backstage.
Heels2Heal Miracle Babies Luncheon
There’s nothing I love more than combining fashion and charity. So it was a no-brainer to attend the Heels2Heal Fashion Show & Luncheon. Heels2Heal is a great charitable organization that hosts fashion related events throughout Orange County and San Diego in order to raise donations for Miracle Babies. Miracle Babies helps to support those families with critically ill newborns in the Intensive Care Unit. This event was held at the Sea & Smoke Restaurant in Del Mar, CA. We sat outside and enjoyed the fashion show of Flower Hill Promenade retailers in 80 degree November weather. Only in San Diego!
I was really impressed with the styling for the fashion show. I didn’t realize how many great retailers there are in that location! All the beautiful models were decked out in some amazing fall fashion looks. Here are some shots of my favorite outfits.

Sugar and Spice
Last weekend I got to help backstage with Bad Madge & Company at the “Sugar and Spice” National Charity League Poway Chapter Fashion Show. I absolutely love working fashion shows and this one was no exception. The girls were all super excited to strut their stuff down the runway to songs like “Lips like Sugar” and “Candy Man.” See the theme there? 🙂 Jennafer Grace was lead stylist for this event and did an excellent job (as usual). Here are a few photos I snapped of all the action!
Fashion Week San Diego: Day 3
San Diego Fashion week continues with another fashion show for emerging designers to win the votes of the viewers. The audience got to see some amazing work tonight. There was everything from edgy swimwear, to bright floral swimwear, to amazing hats!
The Rancho Coastal Humane Society also did a doggy fashion show! If you ever wondered what a warehouse of collective swooning sounded like, you would have heard it during when the first pooch entered the runway. These cuties will have no problem finding homes! I got a great seat tonight (and my camera decided to start functioning again) so I was able to get some fun shots of the show. Here are some of my favorites!
Fashion Week San Diego: Day 2
Day 2 of Fashion Week San Diego kicked off the runway events! I was so impressed by all the emerging designers and floored by the spectacle of the “Styled to Rock” preview. All the emerging designers were hand picked to present their collections over the course of the 3 days of runway shows in an effort to be voted as Best Emerging Designer. The winner will receive cash, an opportunity to meet with buyers, and many more amazing prizes. So you know they’re showing us their absolute best!! With everything from gowns to swimwear, the audience was fully captivated.
The show closed with a preview of 3 designers from the coming series “Styled to Rock.” I can’t even begin to find words to describe the incredible designs. It was just amazing to see these visions! Here are some of the highlights of the event.

Monday Must-Have Lust List
1) SAN DIEGO FASHION WEEK
Like many of you, I’m a huge fan of watching all the fashion week shenanigans from around the world. The street style is about as much fun to see as the designer’s creations for the coming season. So I’m super excited to be attending San Diego Fashion Week from October 2nd – October 6th. There will be 26 designers from around the world showcasing their beautiful looks. If any of you are attending as well, stop me and say hello! 🙂
2) RIHANNA X MAC COLLABORATION RELEASE
Last time there was a collaboration like this, it sold out in about an hour! This time around, Rihanna has collaborated with MAC Cosmetics to create a full line of makeup. Other than the amazing rose gold packaging, the colors are meant to complement all skin tones. They look like they’re going to be a perfect fall makeup addition! Get yours at MAC Cosmetics online starting today (September 30th) or when it releases to all carriers on October 3rd!
3) STATEMENT EARRINGS
Statement earrings are really making a come back and I couldn’t be happier. It adds instant glam to all your looks and are available in so many shapes, colors, and designs that you’ll never be bored! Here are a few statement earrings I’m loving. Click image for more info.
4) MY LITTLE STEAMER
This little portable steamer was the best $20 I spent in my whole life. It’s so nice not to have to lug out a regular steamer if I’m just steaming one item! And it’s also small enough that I can pack it when I travel and still have room for 16 pairs of shoes! If you don’t already have one of these, get one! Your life is about to change.
5) JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE’S THE 20/20 EXPERIENCE: PART 2 OF 2 RELEASE
Like most women, I have a soft spot in my heart for Justin. I mean, the guy can dance, sing, act, dress, and is just plain good looking! So I’ve obviously downloaded the album this morning and will be listening to it on repeat for the better part of today. Stay tuned on my Twitter account to hear my thoughts on the album once I’ve given it a good listen. You can order yours on itunes or right here!
Happy Lusting!
